Join The Central Rhode Island Chamber in Collecting Food for Our Neighbors in Need

The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce is hosting a food collection drive for Westbay Community Action to aid our local neighbors in need throughout the month of November. These are our neighbors, colleagues, customers/clients, and local residents. It’s easy:

Drop off at Westbay Community Action at the end of the month. Or, in the case of large donations, contact them to come collect the bins.

All non-perishable food items are appreciated as long as they are not expired. However, the following items are in high demand:

• Canned meats (tuna, chicken +++)

• Peanut butter and jelly

• Pasta and sauce

• Canned soups and stews

• Cereal and oatmeal

• Breakfast bars and granola bars

• Rice and boxed side dishes

• Canned fruits and vegetables

• Mac & cheese and canned pasta (like ravioli or SpaghettiOs)

• Shelf-stable milk

• Instant potatoes and stuffing mix

• Ready-to-eat shelf stable meals or microwavable dinners (helpful for older adults)
