About Our Speaker
Tim White
Tim is a managing editor and chief investigative reporter at WPRI 12. He is the winner of six New England Emmy Awards, including five for investigative reporting, and he was on a team that was honored with two national Edward R. Murrow Awards. Tim is the co-host of the long-running Sunday current affairs program Newsmakers, and has moderated debates for 12 News since the 2010 elections. Tim is the co-author of “The Last Good Heist,” a true story about a brazen heist of a secret mob vault in 1975. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Roger Williams University School of Law, where he earned his Masters in Law. Tim is an adjunct professor of journalism at Roger Williams University where is teaches media law. He and his wife live in Rhode Island with their two children.

Joy Fox is the publisher of Beacon Media, a community newspaper company where she began her career. The company publishes three weekly newspapers — the Warwick Beacon, the Johnston Sun Rise and the Cranston Herald. It is also home to the weekly shopping guide, The Reminder, which covers Coventry, West Warwick, and West Greenwich.
