PET FIRST AID/CPR & DISASTER RESPONSE
The course, entitled, Pet First Aid and Disaster Response, teaches student what to do if their beloved pet becomes sick or injured. Some of the topics that will be discussed during the program are CPR for your dog or cat, what happens if they choke on something, and how to do mouth-to-snout resuscitation. Medical emergencies such as seizures are discussed. You will also go over injury prevention, assessment, and treatment for broken bones and soft tissue injuries, such as cuts. Finally, during a disaster, either manmade or natural, a lot of things are going on. You want your pet with you if at all possible. We have to prepare for them as well as being prepared yourself. You should have a “go bag” for your pet as well as your family.
This course carries a two year certification card and certificate. You will receive a guidebook, reviewing everything in class.
Many people take CPR and first aid courses for their family…..now’s the time to protect that “little furball” as well.
Cost for the program is $45.00 per person and if there are other members of the same household, it will be $35.00 for each additional member.
