The new home of Gooseneck Vineyards was once the Rodman Farm. Its impressive gable-roofed barn and property housed horses that transported goods from Shady Lea and Silver Springs mills to the docks in Wickford. Built in the mid-1800s by Charles Rodman, the barn sheltered both working and riding horses, while the land produced food for the local mill workers.

After the mills closed in 1952, the property became a dairy farm for over a decade. In the 1970s, it saw new life as Potpourri Potters, later transforming into Wickford Place, a consignment artisan’s market. After its closure, the barn remained vacant and the property unused.

Gooseneck Vineyards has lovingly restored the barn and revived its agricultural roots with the planting of vineyards. We’re proud to be stewards of this historic property, offering our guests a warm, relaxing venue to enjoy our wines and hospitality.
